I was about to board a plane to Portugal when I received a message from Courtney: “My makeup artist canceled. Do you have this date available?” At first, I thought she meant next year, but her follow up message clarified: “yes, THIS YEAR…” Her wedding was only 1.5 months away. That date was the only one I had available all season, and I knew I could make it work, and give her unforgettable bridal makeup.

A Morning Full of Laughter and Glam

The morning of, like most brides, she was understandably stressed, but her sense of humor made the morning feel fun and relaxed. Capturing some of the funniest content to date while I was doing her makeup. She wanted a look that felt natural, timeless, and glowing, and I wanted her to feel confident every step of her wedding day.

Even without a trial, I created a bridal makeup look tailored to her style. I focused on glowing skin, long-lasting makeup, and subtle touches that highlighted her natural beauty. By the time we finished, Courtney was laughing, glowing, and completely thrilled with her look. In fact, she admitted she was glad her original artist canceled, sometimes last minute changes can lead to the perfect outcome.

Courtney’s wedding took place at Bloom Garden Estate, a breathtaking venue filled with lush greenery, romantic ponds and secluded gazebos, The estate’s gardens created the perfect backdrop for photos, and every detail, from the sparkling waters to the vibrant blooms, added to the magic of the day. Knowing her bridal makeup would complement such a stunning setting made my work even more rewarding.
